Built-up on own developments (frameworks) as well as on the license for the use of the access regulation the use of the card and the network infrastructure will be made possible by the development of core modules and infrastructure components. Country-specific layers regulate the specific requirements in the corresponding countries.

Main characteristic of the Medatrans solution is the high requirement on the flexibility, the safety and high (transaction) throughput of the solution resulting from the differentiated frame conditions of the different national health cares and from the demands of further applications. Flexibility is also demanded on storage locations of data, operator models and future extensibility of the solution regarding the integration or usage of new applications and services.

That is why the solution is realised as Service-Orientated Architecture (SOA) and build in the manner as Software as a Service (SaaS) whose system functionality is clearly distributed on different levels/applications. Via “standardised” connectors the services are connected with each other. For different applications (eHealth, Banking, IDs...) separate connectors are use correspondingly guaranteeing an integrity and safety of the different applications towards each other.
