The patents, which are supplied to Medatrans exclusively to implement Smart-Card solutions and telematic infrastructures, include the Role-based-Access-Regulation for the access of specific data on the Card, on PCs and Mobiles and/or on Server within secure telematic infrastructures with a pinpoint in the global health-care market.

On example of the electronic health-card this means: there are multiple, strictly separated, secured data areas on the Card (Chip). Each of the separated areas bears ist own security area within. On every request/transaction the security area verifies whether and how a requester or program can access which data by its “role”.

The described method is in general valid for an access to the Card in offline-mode but as well for accessing data on a PC or data on a Server in online-mode.

Furthermore it is independent (encapsulated) from the technical transmission method. This means, that all currently existing and all future communication methods can be supported.

The additional usage of transponders (contactless Chip) permits a direct wireless communication of the Card/Chip in NFC-mode Near Field Communication), which is actually spreading in global usage.

The usage of a combined Card (Contact-Chip and Transponder), a so called Hybrid-Card, offers the utmost security for investments into the future.
